The aim of Churwell Out of School Group is to provide a high quality, safe and caring environment that provides opportunities for stimulating play, for children aged 3 to 12 years of age, before and after school and nursery, and in school holidays.
The Group will achieve this aim through:
- a team of high quality staff of whom the majority have, or are working towards, a recognised playwork or childcare qualification;
- offering a variety of activities to suit the age range and needs of the children;
- using premises that are safe and secure and meet registration standards;
- regular monitoring of the provision by a voluntary management committee;
- working in partnership with school, parents and carers to help meet the new Ofsted requirements for Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum; and
- Participation in Leeds Quality Assurance scheme.
